Commercial Sculpture and Limited Editions
Sommer released her first limited edition sculpture, "Timothy" a standing American Shetland Pony, in 1997. He was an immediate success and sold out within months of his release.
The following year, Breyer released the first Traditional scale horse sculpted by her, at Breyerfest 1998, called "Rejoice". Since then Sommer has continued to create more products for Breyer through the years, including models such as "Strapless" and "Zippo Pine Bar" as well as toy items, collectible porcelains, and annual Christmas ornaments.
She has also worked for other companies, such as The Trail Of Painted Ponies, and has sculpted their "Rearing Pony" form. Other commercial and limited edition sculptures have been produced for various other companies through the years. Photos of some of Sommer's sculpture work are shown here.
